Program: “The Traitor Who Saved Ticonderoga: Benedict Arnold at the Battle of Valcour Island."
As an overwhelming British force headed south from Canada in 1776, Arnold assembled a ragtag fleet to meet it in a desperate naval action. Though defeated, his heroics gave our infant nation a year to breathe & win the pivotal victory of Saratoga the following year. Our speaker is former
history professor and NCCC Library Director Brian O’Connor.
Unless otherwise noted, all events are held outdoors (under a tent) at the Hancock House Museum and are free to attend, although donations are encouraged.
Reservations are encouraged, as space is limited. Please bring your own lawn chair.
Program dates and times are subject to change. All social-distancing guidelines will be enforced.
Changes are posted to Facebook and on the tihistory.org website whenever possible.
