DESCRIPTION:Program: "The Traitor Who Saved Ticonderoga: Benedict Arnold at the Battle of Valcour Island."\n\nAs an overwhelming British force headed south from Canada in 1776\, Arnold assembled a ragtag fleet to meet it in a desperate naval action. Though defeated\, his heroics gave our infant nation a year to breathe & win the pivotal victory of Saratoga the following year. Our speaker is former\n\nhistory professor and NCCC Library Director Brian O'Connor.\n\n\n\nUnless otherwise noted\, all events are held outdoors (under a tent) at the Hancock House Museum and are free to attend\, although donations are encouraged.\n\nReservations are encouraged\, as space is limited. Please bring your own lawn chair.\n\nProgram dates and times are subject to change.
