PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
In the service of our mission, Fort Ticonderoga is seeking a talented and creative individual to join our team as a Videographer-Editor. Working collaboratively with Fort Ticonderoga’s senior leadership team, the Videographer-Editor will creatively convey sweeping narratives, staggering natural beauty, our unparalleled museum collections, and innovative educational programs through video. With a blend of technical expertise, and passion for storytelling through video, this position will serve Fort Ticonderoga’s diverse audiences creating video content for students, scholars, & lifelong learners, on a variety of platforms from social media to on-demand subscriptions. The Videographer-Editor will create photo and video content, broadcasting the ongoing importance of our national 250th, the specific story of the Northern Department, and create excitement about Fort Ticonderoga’s unique REAL TIME REVOLUTION programming during the 250th period and beyond. They will conduct interviews, film panoramic historic landscapes, and capture objects and skills from the past, with their significance today. This work will promote, capture, and amplify in-person events for national and global audiences. Working closely with the Vice President of Public History, the VideographerEditor will serve Fort Ticonderoga’s mission building awareness of historic events, peoples, and places that make the Revolutionary period foundational in North America today.
