ACCOUNTABILITY: The Post-Press Production Supervisor and Operations Manager.
RESPONSIBILITY: Assist in the workflow of the Post-Press Department with emphasis on assisting the equipment operators while
learning the printing trade and equipment operations. Load and remove products from equipment while in operation. Prepare the equipment for the next job. Assist in completing the job through all phases of production while learning the overall operations. Maintain and make ready all production equipment used in the work flow. Provide backup driver support for deliveries in company vans and box trucks.
PRINCIPLE JOB ACTIVITIES:
Preparing jobs for shipment on the loading dock, including skid stacking, strapping and wrapping.
Follow truck loading instructions to ensure the last jobs loaded are the first delivered jobs.
Secure skids properly in delivery vehicles for transportation to final destination.
Follow delivery routes and practice safe driving procedures when operating company vehicles.
Assist in keeping all company vehicles in good working order and report to the production manager any vehicles in
need of repair.
Assist in maintaining a neat dock area with all skids of material and jobs stored in an orderly fashion for timely
production.
Learn the inner working of our production schedules and how to read a production report and delivery manifest.
Load product and inserts into inserting machine, assist in pocket set-up, clearing jams and take-off routine for the
Muller Martini Inserter, Inkjet equipment and plastic strapping machines .
Be knowledgeable of the various pumps, compressors, motors, pallet jacks, loading dock and auxiliary equipment
used to simply the workload.
Disposal and recycling of newsprint, other reusable items through the recycling process, which is in constant
change.
Ensure proper and safe maintenance of equipment. Keep a clean, functional workspace within compliance of all
OSHA and company safety standards.
Assist in maintaining a high level of quality control to ensure no sub-standard work leaves our plant.
Maintain a good working relationship with all staff, support personnel and customers
Offer suggestions and ideas to improve production and streamline operations.
Assist with anything you may be called upon to do at the discretion of management for the benefit of the company.

Production Manager or the Human Resource Manager. Confidentiality is very important! It is mandatory that any and all

HOURS: This is a 24-36 hours per week position, generally 3-4 days per week. It may require some unusual work
schedules, starting a little earlier than normal in the mornings or staying a little later in the evenings. Your flexibility in
assisting us to meet the sometime special timetables of our customers, will be crucial to your employment here.
COMPENSATION: Starting compensation will be $17.00 per hour with the range for this position between $17.00 and $20.00 per hour. Time
over 40 hours will be paid at time and a half.
