Ring of Fire, by Richard Maltby Jr., conceived by William Meade, is a high-energy musical revue celebrating the life and music of Johnny Cash. Rather than a traditional biography, the show weaves together more than two dozen of Cash’s iconic songs—such as “I Walk the Line,” “Folsom Prison Blues,” and “Ring of Fire”—to tell the story of his roots, struggles, love, faith, and enduring influence on American music. Featuring a small ensemble of performers and musicians, the production captures the spirit of Cash’s journey through storytelling and song.
