Revel in the exotic strains of the Brooklyn Nomads, a collective of musicians from different cultural and stylistic backgrounds, including Lebanon, Germany, Sudan, Turkey, Iran and Albania.
With roots in Middle Eastern and Arabic music traditions, the music of the ensemble includes global styles like Flamenco, Jazz, Balkan, Bluegrass, North & East African, European Classical and more.
The Brooklyn Nomads started playing together in 2014 in local venues around New York City.
“Our strong hope is to make music and create experiences that reflect our understanding of the world as a place that is beautiful because of its diversity,” says Hadi Eldebek, oud player and one of the group’s founding members, “and to be a catalyst in bringing cultures, styles, and people together.”
