French & Indian War Encampment
Visit military camps beside the authentic ruins of the French-built Fort St. Frederic (1734 - 1759) and the ruins of the vast British "Crown Point" fort (1759 - 1773), including two original stone barracks ruins), each of which are Registered National Historic Landmarks. Watch the visiting British and French soldiers, Canadian militiamen, Woodland Indians, boatmen, and civilian re-enactors at the tactical weapons demonstrations. Enjoy a scenic vista of historic Lake Champlain, the Adirondacks, & the Green Mountains.
