Winter Workshop Series
Hoppus, Matumpline or Tumpline: Constructing an 18th-Century Tumpline
Guest instructor Nathan Kobuck will show participants how to construct an 18th-century tumpline. It
will cover both the skills of twining and the oblique weave as well as how tumplines were used
during the period. Workshop includes hemp twine, instruction, & lunch.
