JOIN US ON SATURDAY, JULY 27TH AT 9:30 AM AT SPIRIT SANCTUARY FOR A SPECIAL EVENT CELEBRATING ART, ECOLOGY, AND COMMUNITY
This event is in partnership with Split Rock Arts. Part 1: Forest Experience Location: Take a guided contemplative walk through the forest with international artist Evgenia Emets, known for her work blending art and ecology. Limited to 25 participants, this moderate-level hike begins at Spirit Sanctuary and explores the Black Kettle trail before circling back to the sanctuary entrance. Parking is available onsite. Part 2: Exhibition Opening Location: Pop-up exhibition 12pm - 3pm open on Saturday July 27th and Sunday July 28th at the Whallonsburg Grange. Join us for a pop-up exhibition showcasing works created during the Split Rock Arts residency by Evgenia Emets and Jean Brennan, founder of Split Rock Arts. Enjoy snacks and drinks as you view art that explores themes of nature and community. The exhibition opens immediately following the forest walk.
WHAT TO BRING: You are invited to bring lunch to eat at the pop-up exhibition at the Whallonsburg Grange, following the forest experience. Refreshments and seating will be provided.
DIRECTIONS: This trailhead is on Cook Rd. 1.3 mi west of Whallonsburg and 0.4 mi east of Leaning Rd.
