JOIN US FOR A CATSWOMEN HIKE OF BALD PEAK IN THE GIANT MOUNTAIN WILDERNESS ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 30TH AT 10 AM. (This hike was rescheduled from 8/26/23) CATSWomen is a volunteer-led hiking group. This group of women - of all ages and abilities! - creates a safe and encouraging space for female hikers to become more confident in their outdoor adventuring. Get ready for an unforgettable adventure on a 7-mile roundtrip trail in the beautiful New Russia, NY area. This exciting route is perfect for those seeking a challenge and will take approximately 5 hours to complete. The climb to the top may be sustained, but the reward is absolutely worth it. The stunning summit viewpoint is breathtaking and will leave you in awe. You'll have no trouble following the trail thanks to the clear yellow discs marking the way. Plus, the top is unmistakable with a large cairn to guide you. Once you reach the summit, prepare to be amazed by the 360-degree views of the majestic surrounding mountains.
