3rd Annual Thanksgiving Meal Distribution
Saturday, November 21st | Ticonderoga Elementary School

The Regional Food Bank is proud to host our third annual Thanksgiving meal distribution, and this year will be the largest in the nation. This year, the Food Bank will provide an unprecedented 575,000 Thanksgiving dinner meals at 45 mass distribution sites across 23 counties in New York State. This will include 10,000 hot-prepared meals delivered directly to senior sites. The Thanksgiving meals will be distributed on the Saturday morning before Thanksgiving, on November 21st.

Ticonderoga Elementary School on Alexandria Avenue will be one of this year’s distribution sites. Each family will receive a turkey plus bags stuffed with all the fixings for a Thanksgiving meal. We did have some similar food distributions at Ticonderoga Elementary sponsored by the Regional Food Bank during COVID. Ticonderoga Area Backpack Program is the Food Bank’s partner agency at this site.

This mass distribution effort would not be possible without the collaboration of agency partners, community leaders, and local volunteers. A total of 4,500 community volunteers will be needed to help make this distribution event successful. Fifty volunteers are needed for each distribution site to pack the bags of food, to pre-screen customers in line, and to distribute/load the food into customers vehicles.
