SUMMARY:Working Hike @ Field and Forest Trail
DESCRIPTION:JOIN CHAMPLAIN AREA TRAILS IN A WORKING HIKE ON THE FIELD AND FOREST TRAIL ON FRIDAY\, FEBRUARY 2 AT 12 P.M.\n\n\n\nThe Field and Forest Trail has beautiful hardwoods and small rocky cliffs in the forest. A beautiful creek crossing brings walkers further into the woods\, which soon open into rolling meadows and views of the mountains and foothills. We will hike a mile into the trail to start work on a new trail. On this hike\, we'll remove fallen limbs\, cut down some saplings\, put up new trail markers\, and lop or handsaw where necessary. We will be working with loppers and hand saws\, which Champlain Area Trails can provide. Feel free to bring your own tools as well.\n\n\n\nDIRECTIONS: We will meet at the trailhead on Route 10. There is a small parking area where we will meet. Make sure to come with appropriate footwear\, and bring snowshoes. We will wrap up around 4 pm. Make sure to bring gloves\, water\, and some snacks!\n\n\n\nREGISTRATION: Please register by 6:00 p.m. the day before the event by emailing tony@champlainareatrails.com\, but it's also okay to meet us there Friday at noon.
