DESCRIPTION:Alfred Z. Solomon Masterwork Series\n\nExperience the beauty of nature with violin virtuosa Kinga Augustyn\, from singing birds in the soul-captivating Lark Ascending by Ralph Vaughan Williams to the shimmering water of Karol Szymanowski's La Fontaine d'Arethuse and the Japanese cherry blossoms of Yui Kitamura's Yumezakura. The program also includes other brilliant violin works by Bela Bart k\, George Gershwin\, and Pablo de Sarasate.\n\nKinga Augustyn is a Polish-born\, New York-based artist.  She has performed at venues across Asia\, Europe\, and the United States including Carnegie Hall\, Alice Tully Hall\, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She completed undegraduate and graduate degrees at The Juilliard School and received a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Stony Brook University. Kinga first appeared at The Sembrich in 2016 and was a featured performer in our 20/20: Virtual Visionaries Summer Festival.\n\nEvent will be held under a performance tent on The Sembrich's beautiful lakeside property.  Concertgoers are welcome to bring their own portable folding chairs or use those provided by The Sembrich.  Ushers will ensure appropriate social distancing when seating attendees. Masks are required at all times while on The Sembrich property. Health and safety guidelines prescribed by the CDC and the State of New York will be enforced. Failure to comply will result in ejection from the property and forfeiture of admission. \n\nEvent will be held rain or shine.
