DESCRIPTION:Join Ingrid Cyros on December 7th and 8th\, to introduce photography and journal writing as a contemplative practice\, in this two-day workshop.\n\nWhat if we approach photography as a contemplative journey\, with a sense of wonder\, as daring as an explorer?\n\nThe practice of integrating photography with journal-keeping cultivates the ability to see beneath the surface\, to connect to that which is sacred. The practice itself involves taking pictures and writing about the thoughts and feelings evoked. The workshop includes centering practice with an image\, instruction\, and time for participants to practice and share images. At the end of the workshop\, you are equipped to integrate this exercise into daily life\, using prompts such as: "How does this image connect with your life and what might it reveal to you?"\n\nEmphasis will be on the artistic and spiritual process rather than technical aspects of photography. No fancy camera required: a Smartphone is recommended.\n\nVarious options to participate based on your needs! Register directly for the retreat through Silver Bay with options for: 1) overnight stay with Silver Bay\, 2) Zoom participant 3) or participant as a commuter. Registration is now open for all options\, and you may reserve your spot with payment of $25 Facilitator Fee by Venmo (@Ingrid-Cyros)\, personal check\, or in-person.
