SUMMARY:Second Saturday Trail Volunteering @ Field and Forest Trail
DESCRIPTION:JOIN CHAMPLAIN AREA TRAILS IN OUR SECOND SATURDAY VOLUNTEER TRAIL WORK ON THE FIELD AND FOREST TRAIL ON SATURDAY\, FEBRUARY 10TH AT 9 AM\n\n\n\nWe will begin creating a new trail that will replace the old pasture path. It will be a mile hike each way to get back to the section that we are working on. On this hike\, we'll remove fallen limbs\, cut down some saplings\, put up new trail markers\, and lop or handsaw where necessary. The trail has beautiful hardwoods and small rocky cliffs in the forest. It should be a lovely winter morning of trail work! We will be working with loppers and hand saws\, which Champlain Area Trails can provide. Feel free to bring your own tools as well. DIRECTIONS: We will meet at the trailhead on Route 10. There is a small parking area where we will meet. Make sure to come with appropriate footwear and bring snowshoes. We will wrap up around 1 pm. Make sure to bring gloves\, water\, and some snacks!\n\n\n\nREGISTRATION: Please register by 6:00 p.m. the day before the event by emailing tony@champlainareatrails.com\, but it's also okay to meet us there on Saturday at 9 am.
