DESCRIPTION:SARANAC LAKE   North Country Community College is partnering with the Franklin County Suicide\n\nPrevention Coalition to host a pair of Mental Health Awareness events for the community   one in\n\nMalone\, one in Saranac Lake   and is seeking submissions of art to showcase at each event.\n\nEach Mental Health Awareness community event will feature mental health information and resources\,\n\nfood\, music\, art and fun activities for kids. Speakers from the community will also share their stories.\n\nThe public is welcome and encouraged to attend.\n\nThe Malone event will take place Monday\, May 2 from 2 to 6 p.m. at North Country's Malone Campus\,\n\nlocated at 75 William St. The Saranac Lake Mental Health Awareness event is set for Wednesday\, May 4\n\nfrom 2 to 6 p.m. on the college's Saranac Lake campus\, 23 Santanoni Ave.\n\nTo mark Mental Health Awareness month\, newly trained NCCC Peer Specialists will be providing\n\ninformation about the program\, which was established in the Fall of 2021 in partnership with\n\nCommunity Connections of Franklin County.\n\nEach event will also feature a Community Art Showcase titled "The Many Faces of Mental Health\," and\n\nsubmissions from the community are encouraged.\n\nFor the Malone event\, submissions of original artwork can be made to Sarah DiOrio or Allyssa\n\nLaBombard at Community Connections\, 7 Pearl St.\, Malone from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.\, Monday through\n\nFriday. Submissions are due Thursday\, April 28.\n\nFor the Saranac Lake event\, original artwork can be submitted to Rachel Stender or Zeanna Reyome at\n\nSaranac Lake High School\, Door 17\, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday\, or to Aleacia Landon\n\nat the Saranac Lake Youth Center\, 29 Woodruff St.\, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.\, Monday through Friday. In\n\nTupper Lake\, art can be submitted at the Tupper Lake Outreach Center\, 64 Demars Blvd.\, from 8 a.m. to\n\n4 p.m. on weekdays.
