SUMMARY:Cheney Mountain Hike
DESCRIPTION:JOIN US ON TUESDAY\, APRIL 9TH AT 10 AM ON CHENEY MOUNTAIN TRAIL FOR A GUIDED HIKE\n\nCome for a post-Eclipse hike and explore a hidden gem of a hike in Moriah. This hike is this 1.8-mile out-and-back. It crosses a field before entering the woods for a steady climb to the summit. Follow this road as it moderately but steadily climbs to higher ground. After the short uphill that is a spur trail to an excellent view that's worth checking out. The summit is not much farther\, and it's wooded\, but if you follow the trail just beyond the summit\, you have two great views one of the High Peaks with the tailings piles of the old mine in the foreground\, and the other of the Champlain Bridge and Vermont.\n\n\n\nWHAT TO BRING: Early April can be chilly. Make sure to bring a good jacket\, boots\, and water.\n\n\n\nDIRECTIONS: The trailhead is on Pelfershire Road\, about 1.6 mi west of Rt. 22/9N in Moriah.\n\n\n\nREGISTRATION: There is limited space. Email Torey@champlainareatrails.com to register. We offer our outdoor educational programs for free\, thanks to our generous donors. Your support is crucial for us to continue providing these programs in the future. We would be grateful for your donation today!
