DESCRIPTION:JOIN US FOR A REFRESHING HIKE ON COOT HILL DURING CHAMP DAY ON AUGUST 5TH AT 8 AM! From the mountaintop\, you might even catch a glimpse of Champy. The trail is 3-mile roundtrip and has an elevation gain of 196 ft. It is a moderately challenging hike with a steady incline and great views. It is also kid-friendly\, so feel free to bring your little ones along. The trail leads to a stunning viewpoint where you can see Lake Champlain and the Green Mountains in Vermont across the lake. Don't forget to bring a morning snack and a bottle of water\, and be prepared for any weather conditions\, rain or shine. We will meet at the Trailhead near the Big Hollow Cemetery at 8 AM. PARKING: The Trailhead is located on Lang Rd. in Moriah. However\, the road to the trailhead is poorly maintained\, so cars with low clearance are not recommended. The Trailhead parking area is small\, so please park close to other vehicles. If you are parking near the beginning of the seasonal road or in the first parking area\, you must continue walking the remainder of the road to get to the Trailhead\, which is approx. .5 of a mile.
