DESCRIPTION:Best 4th in the North America's 250th Carnival \n\nEvent by North Country Rural Development Coalition & North Country Roots\n\n Ticonderoga\, NY | Bicentennial Park\n\n July 1 July 5\n\nDowntown Ticonderoga is preparing for a very special year as we celebrate America's 250th Anniversary and continue one of our community's most beloved traditions the Best 4th in the North.\n\nThis year the celebration is expanding with the return of a full carnival midway through a partnership between NRDC and Amusements of America\, one of the nation's premier traveling carnival companies. The parade\, fireworks\, and entertainment will be coordinated by North Country Roots\, a volunteer committee formed by NRDC\, which grew out of the Public Art Committee's strategic plan to expand community events and celebrations\, such as Walls Between Waters\, Fireside Folk Festival\, Cookies & Cheers\, Hearts on Main\, and Shades of Green.\n\n Amusements of America Midway\n\n July 1 July 5 | Bicentennial Park\n\nFor the first time in many years\, Ticonderoga will have a high-quality carnival midway featuring 16 rides\, carnival games\, and classic midway food.\n\nThrill Rides\n\n Vertigo\n\n Polar Express\n\n Freefall\n\n Top Gun\n\n Tip Top\n\n Ferris Wheel\n\nFamily Rides\n\n Candy Factory\n\n Speedway\n\n Bears\n\n Motorcycles\n\n Giant Slide\n\nChildren's Rides\n\n Merry-Go-Round\n\n Frog Ride\n\n SeaDoo Ride\n\n Quads\n\n VW Cars\n\nThe midway will also feature classic carnival games and traditional carnival food\, bringing back the nostalgic fair experience with favorites like cotton candy\, funnel cakes\, fried dough\, lemonade\, sausage and peppers\, and more.\n\n Live Music & Beer Garden\n\n July 1 July 4 | Bicentennial Park\n\nEnjoy live music each evening\, food vendors\, and a beer garden as part of the celebration.\n\n Montcalm Mile Run\n\n July 4\n\n Best 4th in the North Parade & Fireworks\n\n July 4\n\nJoin us for the historic Best 4th in the North Parade\, followed by the spectacular fireworks display that has been a tradition for generations.\n\nThis year's celebration also coincides with major historic programming and world-class reenactments at Fort Ticonderoga\, bringing visitors from across the region to experience the story of the American Revolution during this milestone anniversary.\n\nBecause planning for this year's event began from scratch this March\, we are rebuilding many elements of the celebration and need the community's help to make this milestone year a success.\n\nWe are currently seeking:\n\n Volunteers\n\n Parade participants (floats\, groups\, organizations)\n\n Sponsors and fundraising partners\n\n Community ideas to help revamp and grow the event\n\nIf you would like to volunteer\, help support the event\, or participate in the parade\, please contact us:\n\n NCRTiconderoga@gmail.com\n\n office@northcountryruraldevelopment.org\n\nLet's work together to make the 250th Best 4th in the North a celebration worthy of our community and our country.\n\n We hope to see you in Ticonderoga July 1 5!
