Duties:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age
- Handle cash transactions and operate a cash register
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations regarding the sale of alcohol
- Monitor customer behavior and intervene as necessary to prevent overconsumption or underage drinking
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders for catering events or banquets
Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality
- Strong knowledge of different types of alcoholic beverages, cocktails, and brewing techniques
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Basic math skills for calculating bills, making change, and managing inventory
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate order preparation and presentation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues
Please note that previous experience in the food industry or hospitality is preferred, but not required. Retail math skills are also beneficial for managing inventory and pricing.
