ACCOUNTANT- Exciting opportunity with dynamic human service organization.
Responsible for all accounting functions related to monthly and year end closing
procedures. This includes preparation of subsidiary ledgers, preparation and posting of
recurring, standard, and monthly journal entries and reconciliation of bank accounts.
Maintains documentation for compliance to policies and procedures. Reviews and
analyzes general ledger account balances. Provides staff training and performs internal
audits as needed. Minimum of a BA/BS degree in accounting. Three years’ experience
in public, or not-for-profit accounting. Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and other
accounting software necessary. Experience in New York State, Office for People with
Disabilities accounting practices preferred. Exceptional fringe benefit package.
