Star Trek Pop Culture Convention
Following the successful Trekonderoga last year, the second annual Trekonderoga convention will take place on the weekend of August 12-14, from Friday afternoon through Sunday afternoon.  It will be held in Ticonderoga, New York, on the banks of Lake George and Lake Champlain.  Trekonderoga – 2016 will again show its special nature as a small, intimate setting where you can meet stars and participate in events up-close, all in a beautiful and historic setting in the Adirondacks! 
Our agenda is still being finalized, but at present it includes:
Special Stars – This year we have seven Stars from Star Trek who will be attending, two of whom also starred in “2001 – A Space Odyssey”.  These include:  Michael Dante, Keir Dullea (“2001”), Gary Lockwood (“2001”), BarBara Luna, Louise Sorel, Felix Silla, and Beverly Washburn. 
Autographs and Photo Ops – Meet with our Stars and get their personal autograph, and have your picture taken with the Stars. 
Stars:  Special Talk and Question and Answers – Each of the Stars will do a special presentation about themselves and their involvement with Star Trek, and will then answer your questions.
Dinner With the Stars – On Friday night there will be a special dinner for up to 100 persons, including the chance to meet and mingle with Stars. 
Ice Cream Social – Also on Friday night we will have a small-town special of an Ice Cream Social in front of the Studio.
Set Tours – A top attraction of Trekonderoga are our meticulously re-created sets of the Enterprise.  Take a special guided tour of the sets, and have your picture taken on the bridge of the Starship Enterprise! 
Beam-Outs – A special opportunity of Trekonderoga is to have a video produced of you (and your family and friends) being beamed out from the Transporter Room, and sent to you after our special effects team do their final magic with it. 
Cosplay/Costuming – Participate in or come and watch the competition for various prizes by persons dressed up in Star Trek or other popular culture costume.
Presentations and Workshops – We will have a whole range of presentations and workshops regarding Star Trek and other pop culture topics, such as the links between science and Star Trek, and ones related to film and show production such as costuming, lighting, film production, and others.
Elvis and the Blues Brothers Show – On Saturday night, James Cawley, the driving force behind the creation of the Studios and of the Trekonderoga convention, will be doing his top-rated professional Elvis impersonation music review (with his band), together with the Blue Brothers.  
Special Vehicles – Have your picture taken inside the 1966-version Batmobile, and check out the Blues-mobile as well! 
A new Trekonderoga event - a special Trekonderoga fireworks show will be held in Bicentennial Park on Friday August 12 at approximately 9:15 PM (rain date August 13). This spectacular event will be put on by Republic Fireworks in the beautiful park downtown across from the North Country Community College next to the La Chute River. Admission is FREE to all and seating is on the grass, so feel free to bring a blanket or chair if you wish to. A great way to end the first day of Trekonderoga!
