The Ticonderoga Area Farmers’ Market is a NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets FMNP (Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program) approved market, accepting checks/coupons.  Some farmers have the ability to accept food stamp (EBT) cards also. Farmers’ markets are a proven model for supporting local farms and play a significant role in community and economic development, health and nutrition and social well-being. It has been said that communities with farmers markets are more healthy, cheery and cohesive.
