Ti Arts will hold a Bird Fest from June 26-July 23, 2015 that will include display of artwork of birds from area artists and several special events.
The opening reception happens on Friday, June 26, from 5:30-7:30pm. Enjoy food and beverages and meet the artists. Come see images that contain birds by photographers Nancy A. Carter, Glen Chapman, Brooke Conklin, and Gary Tobler ; painters Joyce Cleveland, Mary Lower, Barbara Nelson, Joan Pulling, Helen Ruddock, and Tom Ryan; quilter Maletta Hourigan and carver Bob Wotton.
Three presentations will follow on the next three Tuesdays:
• author Susan Roney Drennan, former Audubon Society vice-president for ornithology, will present "Birds in the Balance" at 7pm, June 30;
• Audubon member and photographer Glen Chapman of Ticonderoga will show some of his bird photos and play bird songs at 7pm, July 7;
• wildlife rehabilitator Nancy Kimball will bring two or three of her birds at 4pm, July 14, so people can "Meet the Raptors."
TBA is a class led by Maletta Hourigan on making bird applique towels.
