Alfred Z. Solomon Masterwork Series
Experience the beauty of nature with violin virtuosa Kinga Augustyn, from singing birds in the soul-captivating Lark Ascending by Ralph Vaughan Williams to the shimmering water of Karol Szymanowski’s La Fontaine d'Arethuse and the Japanese cherry blossoms of Yui Kitamura’s Yumezakura. The program also includes other brilliant violin works by Bela Bartók, George Gershwin, and Pablo de Sarasate.
Kinga Augustyn is a Polish-born, New York-based artist. She has performed at venues across Asia, Europe, and the United States including Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Kinga first appeared at The Sembrich in 2016 and was a featured performer in our 20/20: Virtual Visionaries Summer Festival.
