orth Country Community College in Ticonderoga will be hosting a public program on confederate currency as part of Black History Month.
The program, "The Color of Money," explores the way the Confederacy celebrated slavery through its printed money. Confederate states decorated their currency with images of slaves working on plantations, generating the region's wealth.
