North Country Community College is offering a full slate of community workshops this spring and early summer. These workshops will be held on the NCCC Ticonderoga campus located at 11 Hawkeye Trail, across from the Bicentennial Park. There are four workshops planned for the month of February. On Friday, February 19th, from 10:00-3:00, Diane O’Connor will present, “Show Me the Money: Grant Funding for Non-Profit Organizations”. This workshop is designed for the beginning grant writer, and looks at the basics of locating grant funding that is the “right fit” for your non-profit, constructing a compelling grant narrative, and doing “due diligence” in grant administration and accountability once you are awarded the grant. She will discuss regional and national grant possibilities; discuss the difference between corporate, government, and foundation grants; and will have a panel discussion with grant writers and grant givers. O’Connor, is certified in Non-Profit Management from Duke University and has more than 25 years of experience in non-profit management with national and regional organizations. The workshop fee is $50 which includes a box lunch for your working lunch hour.
