The Ticonderoga Heritage Museum is excited to announce a new monthly event!
COLLECTION SPOTLIGHT SERIES
Join us at the Ticonderoga Heritage Museum on September 29, 2018 from 1PM to 3PM when we present the first in our Collection Spotlight Series as we end our 2018 season. The event is FREE and open to the public.
We kick off our series by examining the impact of paper making. Stop by the Heritage Museum and see items from our collection related to Ticonderoga’s paper making industry. Review photos from the Ticonderoga Pulp & Paper Company and the International Paper Company and try to imagine how this once vast and extensive paper making industry filled Bicentennial Park and the area behind the Montcalm Street business district. Talk to former paper company employees, Bill Trombley (1958-2000) and Terry Smith (1970-2009) who worked within the walls of this industry.
Join us for future Collection Spotlight Series events (to be announced in the 2019 season) where we will present different portions of the museum’s collection related to other manufacturing, transportation, and related local history.
