The Ticonderoga Historical Society will host its last free movie night of 2018 with a showing of the classic Halloween comedy “Arsenic and Old Lace” on Friday, October 26 at 7 p.m. at the Hancock House, 6 Moses Circle, Ticonderoga.
This dark comedy was released in 1944 under the direction of Frank Capra and features an all-star cast that includes Cary Grant, Priscilla Lane, Josephine Hull and many others. The plot centers around a theater critic who discovers, on his wedding day, that his spinster aunts are homicidal maniacs. The American Film Institute lists the film among the “Top 100 Funniest Movies.”
The free movie nights provide popcorn, beverages and an entertaining feature film acceptable for anyone. Advance reservations are not necessary.
The Ticonderoga Historical Society promotes the preservation and interpretation of history through its collections, programs and community outreach, preserving our past for our future. The Historical Society makes area history an integral part of community life by connecting past and present.
