Ellen Hardin Walworth was an American author, lawyer, and activist who was a passionate advocate for the importance of studying history and historic preservation. She also was one of the four founders of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The Walworth family was prominent in Saratoga during the 19th century. The Saratoga Historical Society has a special room featuring Walworth memorabilia.
