The Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership (TMSP) and the TMSP Promotions Committee is pleased to announce that Ticonderoga Community Clean-Up Day will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM. A variety of Clean-Up activities and community enhancement projects will be worked on this day. Volunteers can meet at the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce Office at 10:00 AM. Ticonderoga Area Businesses, Organizations & Community Members are encouraged to participate. Additional Clean-Up and Community Enhancement activities will be happening throughout the month of May including on Friday, May 15th with the Ticonderoga Central School Community Give Back Day!
May 16th Only: Electronic Recycling
As part of the community clean-up effort, a possible opportunity to recycle your old electronics equipment will be available in the back of the Old Rite Aid Parking lot near the LaChute Trail in Downtown Ticonderoga. Good Point Recycling from Middlebury VT will be available from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Good Point Recycling will take most anything with a cord. Items and Pricing: TVs $5 or $10 depending on size, Microwaves $5, small kitchen appliances $1, & small electronics $1. Free items to recycle include VCRs, stereo, DVD players, CD players, computers, computer accessories, and phones. Good Point does not accept appliances such as washers, dryers, refrigerators, air conditioners, and stoves.
Friday, May 15th Only: Free Curbside Pick Up - 1 Day Only
In coordination with the Town of Ticonderoga, Ticonderoga residents, business, and organizations can leave items curbside (in front of their property). On Friday, May 15th the Town of Ticonderoga Highway Department will pick up items starting at 6:00 AM. Items being accepted can include: glass, plastic, tin & aluminum, paper, newspaper, magazines, phone books, cardboard, old furniture, old carpet, air-conditioners, and any white goods including washers, dryers, refrigerator, and freezers. Please note this is for Friday, May 15th ONLY! All items must be curbside by 6:00 AM or they will not be picked up. The following items will NOT be accepted: Hazardous waste or hazardous materials or items containing these materials, Tires, and Food Waste. Restrictions may apply.
