The Carillon Garden Club invites community members to participate in their upcoming Flower Show to be held Friday and Saturday, September 25th and 26th at the Hague Community Center, Rt. 8 in Hague. The Horticulture classes will be open to everyone who would like to participate.
Horticulture classes will be judged by National Garden Club accredited judges. Ribbons will be awarded to the first, second, third and fourth place winners as well as special awards.
Classes in the Horticulture Division will include: Section A Perennials: – one stem per glass container– Class 1. Chrysanthemum Class 2. Sedum with foliage Class 3. Rose with foliage Class 4. Any other
Section B Tree Branch 15” – 30”: Class 5. Needled Evergreen Class 6. Broadleaved Evergreens Class 7. Fruited Branches
Section C. Collections - 5 Cut specimens or 5 plants in individual 4” pots: Class 8. Herbs Class 9. Cut flowers of the same species Class 10. Container grown plants.
Section D. Container Plant, grown for foliage: Class 11. 6” pot measured on the inside rim Class 12. Pot size 6-10” measured on inside rim. Class 13. Pot size 15” maximum inside rim
Section E. Flowering container- grown plant: Class 14. Pot size under 6”, inside rim Class 15. Pot size 6-10” inside rim Class 16. Pot size 15” maximum inside rim.
Section F. Bulbs, Corms, Rhizomes, Tubers: Class 17. Cut Dahlias with leaves Class 18. Cut Gladiolus with terminal bud. Class 19. Any Other
Section G. Annuals – one stem per glass container: Class 20. Marigolds with foliage Class 21. Geraniums with foliage Class 22. Zinnias with foliage Class 23. Any other
Section H. Fruits and Vegetables: Class 24. Fruit - Three with stems Class 25. One Pumpkin, Squash, Gourd Class 26. Three Root Vegetables Class 27. Any other –three on a plate

The Carillon Garden Club Flower Show, “Let the Games Begin” will be open to the public to view the entries on Friday, September 25th from 2 – 4 PM, during the reception Friday evening from 6 – 8 PM and Saturday, September 26th from 12 noon to 4PM. Besides Horticulture exhibits, there will also be a Design Division featuring the floral designing talents of club members as well as Special Educational Exhibits.
