Best Practices for Reducing Salt Use - See Leading Edge Technology and New Equipment in Action
The 3rd Annual Salt Summit is a free day-long program designed for public and private winter road maintenance professionals in Lake George and across the Adirondack region. The agenda features industry leaders presenting latest methods and equiptment for safely reducing the use of road salt- considered the "acid rain of our time." Unlike acid rain, however, this problem can be solved here and now.
Salt levels in the Lake George watershed are rising and, left unchecked, will threaten water quality and a $2 billion annual tourism economy. Learn how the work underway at Lake George to reduce salt use implements an established system of Best Practices to protect our waters and watershed while keeping winter roads safe and saving money.
Complimentary light breakfast and lunch are provided for registered attendees. Check-in and coffee/tea being at 7:30 am.
