DESCRIPTION:LGLC's 8th Annual Amy's Race\n\nThe Lake George Land Conservancy's (LGLC) 8th annual Amy's Adventure Race for the Lake will take place Saturday\, October 5\, with a new option for those wishing for more of a challenge. In addition to the standard 4.5-mile trail run through Amy's Park in Bolton\, participants can opt to more than double the race with a 10-mile trail run.\n\n \n\nAmy's Park offers rugged terrain with 700 feet of elevation gain amidst ponds\, marshes\, and forests. The longer race follows nearly the same loop as the 4.5-mile track\, with a slight modification to increase the total length to 10 miles when run twice. A virtual option is also available\, so athletes can run the race at Amy's Park or from wherever they choose on October 5th\, as long as it's 4.5 miles.\n\n \n\nAn after-party will be held at the Bolton Landing Brewing Company. Open to all race participants and members of the community\, the after-party will have refreshments and a basket raffle. All proceeds from the race and the raffle will go to the LGLC's initiatives to protect the land that protects the lake.\n\n \n\nRace registration is $40 for the 4.5-mile and virtual options\, $50 for the 10-mile option. Registration includes one ticket for the after-party raffle and a medal. Amy's Race 2024 T-shirts are an additional $10 and can be purchased during registration. Participants\, family\, and friends also can buy Amy's Race t-shirts and other merch at the after-party and through the LGLC's online store following the event.\n\n \n\nCompetitors have ranged in age from 7 to 75\, making this race fun for the whole family. In addition\, participants have the option to create individual and team fundraisers\, with the highest individual and team fundraiser each receiving a prize.\n\n \n\nThe LGLC is also seeking volunteers to help with the race at water stations\, check-in\, and other tasks.\n\n \nSign-in/bib collection will be 7:30-8:30 AM.
