DESCRIPTION:Guided mushroom foray\, September 8th\, AT 10:00 AM. Join this special workshop led by mushroom expert Ari Rockland-Miller. We will walk the Black Kettle Trail\, a one-mile loop trail that goes through an open\, mature forest\, passes by a beautiful forest brook\, and even has some fantastic views across the valley. Discover what gourmet and medicinal mushrooms fruit can be found in this local forest. This is a great entry point into the endlessly intriguing world of mushroom foraging! This is a beginner-level outing. TIME: Meet at the trailhead by 9:50 am for a 10:00 am start. This will take 2 hours. REGISTRATION AND FEE: There is a $30 fee for this special guided hiking workshop\, covering the fees for the level of expertise required to safely learn what is edible and poisonous when mushroom foraging.
